A Friday Funny...
My greek MIL watches my twins every morning so I can take Luke to preschool. I started working out again, so now she has the twins from 9 to noon. Well, today I got home and she was telling me what they ate and she says, with her Greek accent, "They didn't eat too well today, you know, they had some juicy and some feces." "HUH? What?" I said. She replied, "Yes, you know, the gode-feces" Oh. Gotcha. GOLD FISHIES. Gold fish crackers. Dear lord, I almost had a heart attack with that one!

Oh my gosh Arizona, I am CRACKING up!! This is hilarious! I can totally imagine her voice! Hahaha!
How FUNNY.
I don't know if you are also Greek or not, but either way, have you read Middlesex? There's all kinds of funny references to the Greek culture as the main character grows up in a Greek family (besides all sorts of other aspects of the plot, this setting added a lot of good-natured humor to the story.)
heehee :)
Oh my heck! I can totally picture her saying that as I can still remember her voice from when I was at your house. TOO FUNNY!
I TOTALLY love My Big Fat Greek Wedding where the American MIL to be brings the cake and the Greek mom cannot say "Bundt". It's a CAAAAAk. LOL
You rock and I've sooo missed out on the greek babushka stories...(or whatever she is?? Yiayia?).
So glad the gold fishies came to the rescue!
